Longtime activist and democratic force against all odds in heavily Republican areas, Kathryn “Tinker” Harvey has died.
“Tinker”, as friends and foes knew her, was 89 and died of natural causes on Tuesday, Dec. 10 in Lincolnwood.
The Chicago Tribune writes that she was a force for the Democratic party for nearly five decades in traditionally Republican DuPage County.
