Spotlight: Kate Jennings

Kate Jennings is Staff Assistant for U.S. Senator Dick Durbin’s Rock Island office.

After graduating from Bradley University with a B.S. in Political Science, Kate worked for then-Senator Barack Obama as a field representative, and spent free time working on his Presidential campaign. She served as Deputy Downstate Director for Senator Roland Burris before working for the Illinois Democratic Coordinated Campaign as Field Director in 2010.

Kate has served as the president of Rock Island County Democratic Women’s Club since 2009 and secretary of the Rock Island County Fair Board of Directors since 2011. She will graduate from Iowa State University this winter with a M.Ag. degree in Professional Agriculture.

She lives in Moline with her puggle Franklin.
