| Lobby Day for the ERA What: Illinois Rally and Lobby Day for the ERA
Details: The Rally begins at 12pm at the Illinois State Capitol in Springfield at the Lincoln Statue! Let’s show the Illinois General Assembly how many people from across Illinois expect to see this issue ratified in the House this May!! No, the Equal Rights Amendment *still* has not been passed, which means gender equality is still NOT part of the U.S. Constitution. If you plan to help us lobby that day as well, please sign up here, it’s imperative legislators hear from their constituents. YOU can be a part of making sure that the ERA finally gets ratified! If Illinois ratifies the ERA that means that only ONE more state would be needed. Congress passed it back in 1972 but needed 38 states to ratify it before going into effect. Illinois could be #37!

| IDCCA Bootcamp What: Candidate Training Bootcamp
Details: The County Chairs training will be a three-day (May 18th-20th) training that will include training on operations, fundraising & budgeting, communications, Get Out The Vote, volunteer recruitment & retention, Votebuilder and social media. The training will start at 6pm on Friday May 18th and conclude at 12pm on Sunday May 20th. The training is free of charge but you would be responsible for travel expenses and hotel room.
