The Kansas Federation of Women’s Democratic Clubs is hosting the Midwestern Regional Meeting Friday and Saturday, March 15 and 16, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Kansas City. Registration has been extended to Saturday, March 9.
Here’s the schedule of events planned for the weekend:
Friday
4 to 6 p.m. Meet and Greet
6 p.m. Transportation provided to the Hollywood Casino/7th Street Casino
Hospitality Room open in the evening
Saturday
8 to 9 a.m. Breakfast
9 a.m. to noon Business meeting
1:15 to 3 p.m. Speakers during afternoon program
3 to 5 p.m. Strawberry Hill Museum
5 p.m. Dinner at Gates Barbeque
If you stay through Sunday, there’s a St. Patrick’s Day Parade starting at 11 a.m. for about two hours at Linwood/33rd Street South to 43rd Street.

To encourage younger Democratic women to attend and become more involved, KFWDC is offering $30 registration for the Saturday luncheon only for women 35 or under. Have lunch, hear the speakers, mingle, and stay as long as you like. Just add “35 year or younger paying for Saturday lunch” on your registration form and send in only $30.

Registration for the two-day conference is $70 per person. One-way transportation to and from the airport is $35. Room rates are $109.06 including tax. Mention the conference when making reservations.
